* Expect Intermittent Closures and Traffic Interruptions at South Drive & Old Georgetown Road from August 2 to Mid-October Due to MLP-9 Construction
* Lincoln Drive & Old Georgetown Road Entrance Now Open for Vehicles Entering Campus from 6 am to 7 pm to Alleviate Delays
As of Monday, August 2, the South Drive & Old Georgetown Road entrance will experience traffic interruptions and temporary closures from 10 am to 3:30 pm as part of the new phase of construction on the MLP-9 Parking Garage next to Building 10.
This phase of construction is expected to last until mid-October. To help alleviate delays and congestion for NIH employees entering campus, the entrance at Lincoln Drive & Old Georgetown Road will now remain open to incoming traffic from 6 am to 7 pm on weekdays.
Employees should also expect intermittent traffic interruptions on Convent Drive because of the temporary closure of South Drive .
NIH Police and support staff will be posted to assist both pedestrian and vehicular traffic during these temporary delays.
