As part of the North East Utility Tunnel construction, blasting for rock removal along East and Wilson Drives is scheduled to start on June 7, 2004, and will occur intermittently over a period of approximately 3 weeks. Blasting will take place at 2:30 p.m. daily. The affected areas will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic for approximately 15 minutes before and after blasting.
All blasting activities have been coordinated with the NIH Police and Fire
